Sewa app for iPhone and iPad

Sewa in Punjabi language means “Selfless service”. It involves acting selflessly and helping others in a variety of ways, without any reward or personal gain. It is a way of life for many Sikhs and is part of their daily routine.

Sewa = Voluntary tasks
Sewadaar = Volunteer

This app makes Sewa / volunteering easy, flexible, and fun. This app will connect Sewadaar (Volunteer ) with Gurudwara and Charities. This app motivates Sikh / Punjabi community to do Sewa.

Main aim is to motivate Youngsters to Take Sewa / Volunteer work according to their SKILLS and use those Skills to help the community. Every task a Sewadaar does he/she will have own Profile ID that will show the feedback given by the Gurudwara / Charity and that profile ID link can be used as an experience when they apply for Jobs in the market. The main objective of this app is to bring Sikh / Punjabi people to Gurudwara & Charities and commit 1% of their time per week to do Sewa.

There are 24 hours x 7 days = 168 hours per week.

All we ask for every individual Sewadaar ( Volunteer ) to give 1 % of their time of the week which is 1.68 hours, that is approx. 2 hours per week in their local Gurudwara or Charities.

We know that finding the time to volunteer isn’t easy but many amazing people like you still want to make a difference. We have developed Sewa app to help all you everyday heroes do just that!

Sewa app makes volunteering simple. We break volunteering down into individual tasks. In doing so we allow volunteers to volunteer as much or as little as they like.

If you are a registered Sewadaar ( Volunteer ), Sewa app will allow you to:

- Find Sewa / Volunteering tasks that best suit your Skills near to your area
- Notifications of Sewa near to your area
- Complete as many or as few tasks as you like
- Safeguard your number
- Upload receipts for reimbursement
- Chat with Local Gurudwara / Charity point of contact
- Get feedback on your Sewa / Volunteer task you complete and you have your own profile link to show employers when you apply for jobs.


If you are a registered as a Gurudwara / Charity, Sewa app will allow you to:

- Post Sewa
- Tag a Sewadaar
- Find Sewadaar by Skills / City
- Chat with Sewadaar
